This chart is interesting in that it shows which tactics are being used. It does not, however, show which tactics are producing results. I would argue that email marketing is a tactic that most business owners understand and have been using a long time. This may be part of the reason it remains at the top of the list. I also find it interesting that SEO and website optimization (and to an extent content development) are all listed separately. Again, this may point more to a certain understanding or lack thereof of how these tactics are employed.
