At the flagship event of the e-commerce industry, MarketingSherpa has set up an open studio and is reporting live from IRCE in Chicago. Linda Taddonio, Co-founder and E-commerce Strategy Officer, Insite Software, and Matt Ruggle, Marketing and E-commerce Manager, Great Northern Corporation, paid a visit to the MarketingSherpa Media Center to talk about helping customers help themselves on an e-commerce site.
By utilizing click tracking to find out what worked best for customers, Ruggle explained how that helped Custom Boxes Now, a division of Great Northern Corporation, improve the online customer experience. Elements like adding a live chat further helped customers who may not be sure where to start on the site to get the information they need.
"The innovation of seeing how the buying process goes helps us improve the experience not only for existing customers, but also new customers," Ruggle explained.
