This is exactly what I have found. The most effective SEO tactics are these holy 3: links, content creation, & blogging. It is not at all surprising to me they are also the hardest/most difficult, and it has taken effort on my part to create the habit of making these 3 a priority, especially if a site is struggling to get traffic, leads, and sales.
