Thank you for another useful SEO article. Marketing Sherpa is a great source for ideas, tactics and strategies. Regarding Long-tail key-word phrases, they are far from dead! In fact, they are becoming more important for attracting quality enquiries for our various technical B-to-B services, across global markets and languages. We find long-tail search terms to be high quality. They are highly targeted, with lower CPC, and we encounter less direct competition and unrelated 'noise' from non-competitive advertisers which can drive up CPC. We benefit greatly for the aggressive use of long-tail keywords. Long-tail keywords are worth the effort for both organic and paid web campaigns.
