MarketingSherpa Email Summit Speaker from CMP to Present Session on How to Build High Performance Newsletters

SUMMARY: No summary available.
Warren, RI, January 8, 2008—MarketingSherpa, a research firm publishing Case Studies and benchmark guides for marketing professionals, will feature a session on Building High Performance Newsletters at its Email Summit, February 25, 2008, at 3:15 p.m. Stephen Wellman, Editorial Director of Email Newsletters of CMP, will present this B-to-B breakout session.

MarketingSherpa’s Email Summit ’08 will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami, Florida, February 24-26, and is expected to attract over 800 participants. In addition to Wellman’s session on building high performance newsletters to get your company noticed in a mobile world, the event will offer the latest market research on email marketing and include presentations from leading email marketers and in-depth analysis of Case Studies.

Titled “Building High Performance Newsletters through Intelligent Content Selection,” Wellman’s presentation covers key ideas and methods for building online content in a quickly changing marketplace that includes a proliferation of mobile and wireless devices. CMP found that even by making small changes to content and strategy, they were able to increase their click-through rate by over two percent in only three months.

Wellman will show how CMP devised ways to effectively make marketing and technology intersect on the Internet, and why mobility and online communications have become the perfect fit in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

Wellman is Editorial Director of Email Newsletters for CMP's Business Technology Group as well as Editor in Chief of Over the Air, a blog. He has been tasked by CMP with creating email newsletters and other forms of online content that address the needs of the mobility marketplace.

Wellman is also Editor-in-Chief for Grok on Google, the only email newsletter that chronicles the Web's leading agent of change. Wellman most recently served as Editorial Director for FierceMarkets and Executive Editor of FierceWireless, a daily email newsletter that covers the wireless industry.

“CMP is a major influencer in the worldwide technology industry,” said Eric Stockton, MarketingSherpa President. “We are very pleased to have Stephen Wellman represent at the Email Summit and share creative innovations CMP has been employing with their newsletters to take advantage of the increased use of mobile and wireless devices.”
