According to an online survey of 1,200 U.S. Internet users by Ernst & Young, both men and women chose Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and CDNow as their top three sites. But after that, men and women go their separate ways. Women tend to favor sites that feature health and beauty products, apparel, and online greetings. Men opt for sites dedicated to electronics, entertainment, and home/office supplies. The top five ecommerce categories selected by women include books, CDs, computers, health & beauty, and toys.
