MarketingSherpa 2011 Wisdom Report: Share your wisdom with peers

SUMMARY: Do you have a short anecdote about test results, campaign lessons or other insights you gained in 2010 for our latest Wisdom Report? Here's a chance to share how you managed to rise above - and possibly even thrive - in these conditions - and more importantly, where to go from here.
This past year represented a growth year for marketers. With the nation slowly pulling itself out of a recession, businesses -- both large and small -- are beginning to show signs of healing.

Many of you candidly shared your stories with us for last year's Wisdom Report -- stories about the ideas, strategies and tests you put into motion to counter the struggling economy in 2009. These stories highlighted both successes and failures, and served as an inspiration for MarketingSherpa readers to test new ideas, go back to basics, and ultimately, to strive for better results in 2010.

We'd like to hear how it went. Here’s how it works if you’ve never shared your wisdom before.

Your quote -- a mini-story in your own words -- must be based on a real-life experience. A few suggestions for your entry:

o How you coped with the recession and limited resources to execute your 2010 marketing strategy
o A test campaign that worked better (or worse) than anticipated
o Lessons you learned about a specific tactic, such as social media marketing, lead scoring, email autoresponders, etc.
o Career stories -- everything from hiring to budgeting to dealing with office politics

The deadline for submissions is December 21, 2010.

Make your submission as short or long as necessary. Include your name and your company’s URL for attribution, or you may even submit anonymously.

The ninth annual version of this report will be distributed for free in January to all MarketingSherpa readers. It will compile about 100 of the best lessons from you and your peers.
